The upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in Somalia will be held in 2021.
We decided to take a closer look at one of the candidates who needs no introduction and has already made a great contribution to the unification of Somalia and the settlement of the situation in the country.
Former President of Somalia HE Sheikh Sharif Ahmed (a native of the Abgal / Mudulod / Hawiye tribe), officially launches his political party Himilo Qaran (National Vision).
This is a very interesting figure, a demonstrative selfless person. He drove almost without security; he wore cheap clothes. It is simply impossible to imagine that Sharif Ahmed can appear in a Swiss watch, as a sheikh from the Persian Gulf or as some major high-ranking official. This is a person who simply pointedly emphasized that he was not a money-grubber.

During his term as president, he successfully led the federal government of Somalia through transitional status following the collapse of the previous leadership in leadership in 1991. He succeeded in expelling Al-Shabaab from the capital and its surroundings, establishing security, peace and reconciliation during a difficult transition period. The Sharif administration is also credited with drafting the country's constitution and creating key institutions such as the police, military, and judiciary. He created the Somali National Army, opened a major seaport and restarted the central bank.

The success of the new president, whoever he is, on the difficult path of restoring statehood and solving other strategic tasks, including the fight against terrorism and corruption, will largely depend on whether he will be able to agree with the leaders of clans, as well as a number of radical Islamist organizations on establishing certain forms of cooperation.

With the active support of external players represented by European countries and the influential international community, the candidate has every chance not just to win, but also make real change in the country.
The free world believes that he will be the one to bring peace and a good solution to the Somaliland conflict.
Watching the Sheikh's Sharif Ahmed work, one can safely assume that he is the one that will lead Somalia to a safer place to live with more opening to the western world and cut the connection between radical Islamic terrorist groups and the United States of Somalia.
With a high degree of probability, we can say that he will create an open dialogue with the African Union for the developing and financing of a new great project of agriculture, water supply and infrastructure in Somalia.
His Excellency declared that he will be working hand to hand with the Government of the United States and the United Nation Alliance for a better future.
